Protect Your Bubble (PYB) is a leading gadget insurer,
insuring more than 1.5 million customers in the UK, US and Ireland since 2008.
MagiClick has been Protect Your Bubble’s chosen digital partner since 2016 with a brief to deliver a programme of continual
improvements and optimisation. As part of this ongoing engagement, we recently delivered a completely re-designed digital
experience including a new website, self-service sales journey platform and insurance aggregator integrations.
Designing a New Experience
We designed the new Protect Your Bubble site with a user-first mindset, following a robust UX design
process grounded in research, prototyping, and testing. From the outset, we engaged real users to validate
assumptions and uncover friction points in the existing journey. Our team created interactive wireframes and
high-fidelity prototypes, which we tested iteratively to ensure every step-from getting a quote to completing a
purchase-was intuitive and efficient. The result is a streamlined, high-converting site tailored to how customers
actually buy insurance online.
Aggregator Journeys
As part of the project, we integrated the Protect Your Bubble website with leading aggregator platforms like
Comparethemarket.com to ensure a seamless and consistent experience for users arriving from third-party channels.
This integration helped maximise conversion rates by allowing users to move effortlessly from aggregator to checkout,
while maintaining brand consistency and trust throughout the journey.
Systems Integration
The project entailed integrating with multiple external systems and an internal middleware layer sitting
in front of core policy record systems.
The middleware layer acted as a central hub, orchestrating data flows between the website, external APIs,
and internal systems, while enforcing business logic and security protocols.
This modular approach ensured greater stability, easier maintenance, and the ability to introduce new services
or channels with minimal disruption to the overall ecosystem.
Sitefinity CMS
The website was delivered on the latest version of Sitefinity Enterprise Content Management System (CMS) that
enabled us to give business users ultimate control of the site. Sitefinity’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface
and flexible content modules allowed marketing and operations teams to manage everything from product pages to
promotional banners without relying on developers. Performance at scale was critical, and the project followed
our rigorous load impact testing and security protocols.
