Arch is a global insurer, providing specialty risk solutions to clients worldwide across a wide range of industries. They
operate from offi ces in the UK, Australia and South Africa.
Arch chose us to design and build a new insurance broker portal using an Agile delivery process. The project brief was
to create a cutting-edge, self-service user experience for brokers and integrate the platform with their core insurance
platform, SSP.
We kicked off the project with on-site discovery workshops and focussed on user stories, user flows, personas,
competitor analysis and technical dependencies. We also drew on our deep sector experience and existing insurance
UX research to highlight upcoming trends and innovations.
Early in the project, the team began building interactive prototypes, which were iterated with the client before testing
early versions with brokers. These prototypes were refined based on user feedback and underwent a final validation
test with brokers before we passed the prototypes to our development team for implementation.
The portal was developed on Microsoft.NET MVC and SQL Server, integrated with the SSP insurance platform. Security
and performance were central to the build process, which included rigorous penetration and scalability testing before launch.
